The basis can be comprehensive cover, which provides protection against all risks, which means the vehicle is covered for any occurrence except for the exclusions contained in the policy wording. Alternatively, in exchange for a lower premium, the basis of cover can be reduced to third-party liability, fire and theft only, or further reduced to third-party liability cover only.
